Currently, Colombian citizens are eligible to apply online for an <b>eVisa or eTA in 60 countries,<\/b> \u0648 <b>a Visa on Arrival (VoA) for 15 countries.<\/b> For certain destinations, however, a traditional embassy visa is still required.<\/p>\n<p>For traveling abroad, all Colombian nationals must be equipped with a valid passport, typically with at least six (6) months of remaining validity from the date of entry. The process is entirely online- you submit an application, upload documents, and once approved, the visa or authorization is sent to your email. So, you don\u2019t need to visit an embassy in this case.<\/p><p>So what\u2019s the difference between eVisa and eTA? An eVisa is the short form of Electronic Visa. It is simply linked to your passport number electronically and is valid for a certain duration. When approved, it will be sent to your email. You must present a printed copy of your eVisa or the downloaded version on your phone upon arrival.<\/p><p>An eTA acts as a pre-clearance linked to your passport number for travel. Instead of applying for a full visa in advance, the immigration officials grant you entry once you arrive in the destination country.<\/p><p>Unlike eVisa, the eTA comes with a short timeframe and travelers need to arrive at their destination within that timeframe.
