With the passport ranking 3rd globally, Irish citizens can visit 115 countries without a visa.

However, for other countries, you may still need a visa. It can be an eVisa, un Autorisation de voyage électronique (eTA), a Visa à l'arrivée (VoA), or, in some cases, a traditional embassy visa.

For quick and convenient travel to many destinations, you can apply online for digital visas like eVisas ou eTAs. But for those destinations that require only a traditional visa, you may need to visit the embassy or consulate and apply in person.

Whatever the visa type is, or whichever destination you are travelling to, you must have an Irish passport that is valid for at least six (6) months beyond your intended date of arrival for international travel.

Since visa regulations can change, travelers are always advised to check the latest entry requirements before departure.

Irish citizens can apply for an eVisa and eTA to these countries effortlessly with us:

<h0>Australie</h0>

Countries Offering eVisa and eTA to Irish Citizens

Un eVisa is an electronic visa that can be applied for entirely online. During the process, travelers need to complete the form, upload required documents, and receive approval by email. No embassy visit is required for eVisas. Once approved, the eVisa will be sent via email. It can either be printed or saved on a smartphone and presented at the airport upon arrival.

Un Autorisation de voyage électronique (eTA) works similarly, but it’s not a typical visa. It’s one kind of authorization that allows travelers to visit the destination without needing a visa in advance. With this, travellers can get their visa from the immigration officer after arriving at the airport or border.

However, an eTA always comes with a time frame, and travelers must reach their destination within the time period. Otherwise, the eTA gets invalid, and travelers need to apply for a new eTA.

Here’s the list of countries that offer eVisas and eTAs to Irish nationals:

Pays où le visa électronique est obligatoire (41)

eTA Required Countries (12)

Destinations du visa à l'arrivée

VoA ou Visa à l'arrivée is a type of visa that allows travelers to apply for and get a visa after landing at the destination’s airport or border checkpoint.

However, visa-on-arrival policies can change without prior notice. So, it’s recommended to confirm the most recent rule before traveling.

The countries mentioned below allow Irish citizens to get a VoA:

VoA – Visa on Arrival Countries (15)

Destinations sans visa

Irish passports are one of the most powerful passports in the world, and the global ranking of this passport is in 3rd position. For this, Irish citizens enjoy visa-free access to 115 countries. These visas are typically valid for short stays (30 to 90 days), depending on the destination.

Here’s the list of countries that offer visa-free travel to Irish nationals:

Pays sans visa (115)

Destinations soumises à l'obligation de visa

Pour 16 destinations, Irish citizens must get a traditional visa before travel.
