Emirati citizens get the privilege of visa-free entry in 119 countries. This is due to the UAE’s global passport rank being number one (1).

While visiting any other destinations, Emirati citizens must apply for a visa in person, an eVisa, ETA, или Виза по прибытии (VoA). The requirements vary depending on the destination country’s immigration policy. 

Emirati citizens can apply for an eVisa и ETA в 44 countries. They can apply for an eVisa or ETA online.

Similar to an eVisa, an ETA is also applied online. It is delivered to your email. One thing that sets ETA apart from eVisa is that it has a specific timeframe for acquisition. You must approach the destination country’s immigration within that time to secure your visa. 

Once the ETA timeframe is exceeded, it won’t be valid anymore. You will have to apply for a new one before your trip.

Emiratis can also get a VoA or a Visa on Arrival in several countries. VoA is a type of visa that allows travelers to get a visa after arriving at the destination country’s airport or border.

Immigration authorities can change the policy of a Visa on Arrival (VoA). This sometimes creates an uncertain situation for travelers if they do not get a VoA.

The general visa requirements are the same in every country. Emirati citizens must have these valid requirements to travel abroad: 

• Действительный паспорт: A valid passport issued by the United Arab Emirates, with a minimum of six (6) months of validity remaining from the date of arrival into the destination country.

The United Arab Emirates is a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Six (6) Gulf countries are in the GCC membership.

GCC members can travel freely to each other’s countries without the need for a visa. This allows Emiratis to travel and live in other GCC countries visa-free.
