Visa Requirements for Afghan Citizens
Afghan travellers need some preparation before planning their trip abroad, because visa rules are different in each country. Afghan citizens can travel abroad by getting a visa before their trip, applying online for an eVisa or Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), or receiving a Visa on Arrival (VOA) in some countries.
作为 南亚区域合作联盟(SAARC), Afghanistan is eligible for the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme. This allows certain Afghan dignitaries and officials to visit other SAARC member countries without a visa. This scheme makes official travel in the region easier.
Right now, Afghan passport holders can travel visa-free to three (3) countries and can get a Visa on Arrival in twelve (12) countries. For all other destinations, they must visit the embassy or consulate of the country they plan to travel to for a stamped or sticker visa. Some embassies also let travelers book appointments online before submitting their visa applications.
For Afghan nationals, the simple entry requirement to travel to a country with or without a visa is to have a valid passport with at least six (6) months of validity from the entry date. This is a common rule around the world and helps avoid problems at immigration.
全球护照排名 93, Afghan travelers face some limits but still have options. They can apply for eVisas or ETAs 参观 62 countries through easy online systems.
Since visa rules change from country to country, it’s always best to check the latest travel requirements before applying or booking a trip.
Countries Offering eVisa and ETA to Afghans
一个 电子签证 is a digital visa that you can apply online. You don’t need to visit the embassy or consulate of the country you plan to visit. Once your application is approved, the eVisa will be sent to your email. You can print it out or keep a copy on your phone to show at the airport when you travel.
一个 ETA(电子旅行授权) is a digital travel pass that allows you to enter a country without getting a visa before your trip. When you arrive, immigration officers issue your visa at the airport or border.
Both the 电子签证 和 ETA are applied for online and delivered through 电子邮件. The main difference between them is that an eVisa can be used anytime during its validity period, while an ETA is only valid for a limited time. You must travel within that period to receive your visa on arrival.
If your ETA expires before you travel, it becomes invalid, and you’ll need to apply for a new one before making your trip.
