Visa Requirements for Brazilian Citizens
When traveling internationally, Brazilian citizens may need different types of entry permits depending on the destination. These include traditional visas applied in person, electronic visas (eVisa), Electronic Travel Authorizations (ETAs), Visas on Arrival (VOA), or, in some cases, visa-free access.
Currently, Brazilian citizens are eligible to apply online for an 电子签证 或 ETA 于 52 countries. A Visa on Arrival is available in 15 countries.
For countries that require a traditional stamped or sticker visa, applicants must visit the respective embassy or consulate. In some cases, an appointment may need to be booked online before visiting, depending on the country’s policy.
To travel abroad, Brazilian nationals must hold a valid passport with at least six (6) months of validity from the date of entry, regardless of whether a visa is required. With a passport ranked 11th globally, Brazilian citizens enjoy visa-free entry to 104 countries.
Since visa requirements differ from one destination to another, it is always advisable to confirm the specific entry rules of the country before beginning the application process.
Countries Offering eVisa and ETA to Brazil
一个 电子签证 是一个 电子签证 that can be applied for completely online. There is no need to visit the embassy or consulate of the destination country. Once approved, it is sent to your email and can either be shown on your mobile phone or carried as a printed copy when passing through airport immigration.
An Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is slightly different. It acts as a pre-entry approval that permits you to travel to the destination country without applying for a full visa in advance. After arrival, the immigration office issues your visa.
The ETA application process is also completed online, and approval is sent to your email. However, unlike an eVisa that remains valid throughout its approved period, an ETA must be used within a set timeframe. Travelers need to arrive in the destination country within this period to complete their entry.
If this timeframe passes, the ETA is no longer valid, and a fresh application will be required.
