En ETA (Autorización electrónica de viaje) is slightly different. It is a pre-approval to travel that allows you to enter a country without applying for a visa beforehand. After you arrive, the immigration officers issue your visa at the airport.
You can also apply for an ETA online, and it will be sent to your email just like an eVisa. However, an ETA is valid only for a certain period of time. You must travel to your destination within that validity period.
