Visa Requirements for Belarusian Citizens

O Belarusian passport is ranked 52nd in the world. It allows travelers to visit nove (9) países sem visto. For other places, Belarusians must get permission to enter before traveling.

Depending on the country, they may need an eVisa, um Autorização eletrónica de viagem (eTA), a Visto à chegada (VOA), ou um regular visa from the embassy.

Belarusian citizens can apply em linha for an eVisa and eTA para 59 countries. Outro 16 countries offer a Visto à chegada, which means you can get your visa after landing. If a vinheta ou visto carimbado is needed, you must visit the embaixada ou consulado of that country. Some embassies allow you to book your appointment online before your visit.

Every Belarusian traveler must have a passaporte com validade mínima de seis (6) meses from the date they plan to enter another country.

Como member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Belarus allows certain officials and dignitaries to travel under a Regime de isenção de vistos.

Since every country has different entry rules, it’s best to check the visa requirements before planning your trip.

Countries Offering eVisa and ETA to Belarusians

Um eVisa is a type of visa that you can get completely online. You don’t need to visit an embassy or consulate to apply. Once approved, your eVisa will be sent to your correio eletrónico, and you can either imprimi-lo ou keep a digital copy on your phone to show at the airport.

Um ETA (autorização eletrónica de viagem) is slightly different. It is a pre-approval to travel that allows you to enter a country without applying for a visa beforehand. After you arrive, the immigration officers issue your visa at the airport.

You can also apply for an ETA online, and it will be sent to your email just like an eVisa. However, an ETA is valid only for a certain period of time. You must travel to your destination within that validity period.

If you miss that timeframe, your eTA will no longer be valid. And you’ll need to apply for a new ETA before traveling again.
