Temporary Slower Processing of Singapore eVisa Applications due to Chinese New Year
Elena DarziFebruary 13, 20261 min read
Due to high application volume at the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) during the Chinese New Year period (17 February – 23 February), there is currently file congestion and processing backlog within the system.
As a result, Singapore eVisa processing may take longer than usual. Applications submitted close to or during this period may experience additional delays beyond the standard processing timeframe.
We strongly recommend travelers to:
Apply well in advance of their planned travel date
Avoid last-minute submissions
Monitor their email regularly for updates or document requests
Processing speed is expected to gradually return to normal after 23 February once the backlog is cleared.
Note: This delay applies only to Singapore applications. All other destination applications are being processed normally.
