Visa Requirements for Singaporean Citizens
The citizens of the South Asian country Singapore can visit 125 destinations without a visa. The Singaporean passport ranks fifth (5) globally, allowing this travel facility.
While visiting other countries, Singaporeans must apply for a visa in person, an eVisa, um eTA, ou um Visto à chegada (VoA).
O eVisa e eTA are available to Singapore citizens in 40 countries. Both of the travel endorsements can be applied online.
Furthermore, VoA is available to Singaporean citizens in 36 destination countries. A stamped/sticker visa is required for certain countries. This requires an in-person application to the destination country’s embassy or consulate.
The in-person visa application appointments can be booked online, depending on the country’s embassy and consulate policies.
The simple travel requirement to travel to any country is to have a valid Singaporean passport with at least six (6) months of validity from the time of entry.
Singapore is also a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). This allows Singaporean citizens to travel visa-free to the ASEAN countries for a short period.
Visa application requirements vary depending on the country. It is best to check the visa requirements for the specific destination country before applying for a visa.

Countries Offering eVisa and eTA to Singaporeans
Um eVisa is a digital visa that is electronically linked to a traveler’s passport. It can be applied online without visiting the embassy or consulate in person. Moreover, it can be stored in your smartphone or printed on paper to present when entering the destination country.
Por outro lado, eTA ou Autorização eletrónica de viagem is a travel permit that permits you to travel to the destination country without the need to apply for a visa. When you reach the destination country’s immigration, you can get your visa directly from the authorities at the airport or border.
The ETA can also be applied for online, just like an eVisa. Both the ETA and eVisa are delivered to your email inbox. Unlike the eVisa, which allows you to travel anytime you want during your visa validity, ETA has a timeframe.
You must travel and approach the destination country’s immigration within that timeframe to get your visa. If the timeframe is missed, your ETA will expire. You will have to apply for a new one.
