Visa Requirements for Yemeni Citizens

The Yemeni passport allows travelers to visit several countries either sem visto, with a visa on arrival, or through simple online systems such as eVisa e eTA.

Applying for an eVisa or eTA has made travel much easier for Yemeni citizens. These electronic systems allow them to apply for a visa online without having to visit the embassy and reduce waiting times.

However, some destinations still require a traditional visa application through embassies or consulates.

Whether you’re applying for a regular visa or a digital one, you need to make sure that your passport is valid for at least six (6) months beyond your intended stay to avoid any issues during your travels.

As the visa regulations vary by destination and can change at any time without notice, it’s always important to check the latest visa rules before planning a trip.

Yemeni citizens can apply for an eVisa or eTa to these countries effortlessly with us:

Countries Offering eVisa and ETA to Yemeni Citizens

Um eVisa is an online visa that allows Yemeni travelers to apply without visiting an embassy or consulate. Once approved, the visa is sent via email. You can either save the eVisa to your phone or print a copy to show it at the airport of your destination country during immigration.

Um eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is a digital permit that is also linked directly to your passport. It’s a short-term travel permit to get the online visa at the destination country.

While an eVisa works like an online version of a regular visa, an eTA comes with a time frame to collect the visa. If a traveller fails to reach the destination within that time period and get the visa, the eTA becomes invalid, and they have to apply for a new eTA.

Destinos sujeitos a visto

Even though Yemeni citizens have access to several eVisa, eTA, and visa-free destinations, there are still many countries that require a traditional visa before travel. Currently, 114 países require Yemeni travelers to apply through embassies or consulates.

Applying for these visas usually involves submitting a complete visa form, passport-sized photos, a valid passport, and proof of accommodation or invitation. In some cases, applicants may also need to show return tickets and bank statements to prove they can cover their expenses abroad.

The good news is that most embassies now provide partial online application options. This means you may apply online for a traditional visa. But you must still visit in person for biometric data or interviews.

Visa approval times can take from a few working days to several weeks, depending on the destination and purpose of the travel. To avoid last-minute issues, it’s always best to start your application process early, ideally a few weeks before your travel date.
