How many countries can Republic of the Congo passport holders visit without a visa?

A modest number - the Congolese passport gives visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to around 45 countries and territories, and ranks near 95th on the Henley Passport Index. The easiest travel is across Central Africa, where CEMAC membership opens the neighbours, with a scattering of destinations elsewhere in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific. For most other countries you will need a visa, and a good number of those can be arranged online.

Quite a few - and these are the ones worth knowing, because the whole process happens on your phone or computer. The popular ones you can sort through us include Kenya, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Tanzania and Nigeria, along with South Africa, Madagascar, Botswana and Sri Lanka. No embassy queue, and your passport stays with you.

Can Congolese citizens travel freely across Central Africa?

Accepted Answer

Yes. As a member of CEMAC, the Republic of the Congo gives its citizens visa-free entry to the neighbouring states - Cameroon, Gabon, Chad, the Central African Republic and Equatorial Guinea - for short stays. There is no visa or online form for these trips, so there is nothing for us to process; you simply travel on your passport.

Do Congolese travellers need a visa for Europe, the UK or other major countries?

Yes, and these are embassy processes. Congolese citizens need a Schengen visa for Europe and a standard visitor visa for the United Kingdom and Canada, each applied for in person with supporting documents. Because these are full embassy visas, we do not process them - we focus on the online eVisa and eTA destinations we can complete for you.

Can Congolese travellers currently visit the United States?

Travel is restricted at the moment. As of 2025 the United States has entry measures that affect the Republic of the Congo, so US visas may be limited and are handled only through the US embassy. These rules change over time, so check the latest position before planning - it is not a route we can process online.

Can Congolese travellers get a Vietnam e-visa online?

Yes. Vietnam's e-visa is open to all nationalities, including Congolese citizens, so you apply online - single or multiple entry, for stays of up to 90 days - rather than visiting the embassy. Do Congolese travellers need a Kenya eTA?

Yes. Kenya now asks almost all visitors, including Congolese citizens, to hold an electronic Travel Authorisation before they fly, rather than a visa. It allows a stay of up to 90 days and is applied for online, and we prepare and submit it for you so it is ready before departure.

Can Congolese travellers get a Malaysia e-visa online?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Congolese citizens need a visa for Malaysia, and the Malaysia eVisa is fully online - a single-entry visa for a stay of up to 30 days, valid for 90 days from issue. We complete the form, check your documents and submit it, then send the approval to your email before you fly to Kuala Lumpur.

What are the conditions on Taiwan and Japan?

Both are possible only if you meet a requirement. Taiwan is visa-required for Congolese citizens, so the online route works through an Ecode - an authorisation code issued by a Taiwanese host organisation for an invited conference or event. Japan's eVisa is open to Congolese citizens who legally reside in one of nine host countries such as the UK, US, Canada or South Africa. Each card explains exactly what is needed.

Where can Congolese travellers get a visa on arrival?

Accepted Answer

In a number of places, mostly across Africa, Asia and the island nations - for example several African neighbours, the Maldives and parts of the Pacific. With a visa on arrival there is nothing to lodge beforehand; you pay and receive the stamp on entry. Still carry a return ticket, an accommodation booking and some funds, because the officer decides on the spot.

How much is the Sri Lanka ETA for Congolese travellers?

The Republic of the Congo is not on Sri Lanka's fee-waiver list, so the ETA is the standard paid one - a double-entry travel authorisation for a 30-day stay, with the Sri Lankan government fee included in the price we quote. We complete the form, check it against your passport and submit it, returning the approval by email before you fly.

Can Congolese travellers get an Indian visa online?

Accepted Answer

Not the e-Visa. India's e-Tourist Visa is not currently open to Republic of the Congo passport holders, so a trip to India means applying for a regular visa in person at an Indian visa centre. As that is an embassy process rather than an online product, it is not something we can handle for you.

Are eVisa fees the same for every destination?

No - each country sets its own government fee, and they vary quite a bit. When a Congolese traveller applies through us the price shown on a destination's page is all-inclusive, combining that government fee with our service charge, so nothing extra appears later.
