Visa Requirements for Azerbaijani Citizens

Azerbaijani citizens can travel to many countries in different ways. Some places allow you to visit without a visa, while others may need an eVisa, an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization), a visa on arrival, or a regular visa from an embassy.

You can apply online for an eVisa or ETA to visit 59 countries. The online process is quick and easy, and you can do it from home before your trip.

If a country needs a regular visa, you will need to visit its embassy or consulate. Some embassies let you book an appointment online before you go, which helps save time.

Before traveling, make sure your passport is valid for at least six (6) months from the day you enter the country. This is an important rule for most destinations.

Visa rules are not the same everywhere, so it’s always best to check the latest visa requirements for your destination before you apply. Doing this early will help you travel smoothly and without stress.

Countries Offering eVisa and ETA to Azerbaijanis

The eVisa is a digital visa that you can apply online, without visiting the destination country’s embassy or consulate. Once approved, it can be stored on your smartphone or printed on paper and shown at the airport when you arrive.

An ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is a travel permit that lets you enter a country without applying for a visa in advance. After arriving at your destination, you can get your visa directly from the immigration authorities.

The ETA can also be applied for online, just like an eVisa, and will be sent to your email. The main difference is that an eVisa is valid for travel anytime within its validity, while an ETA is valid only for a specific period, and you must travel within that timeframe.

If the time limit for your ETA expires, it will no longer be valid, and you will need to apply for a new one before traveling again.
