Visa Requirements for Lebanese Citizens

Lebanese citizens have several options for international travel, depending on the entry rules of the destination country. These options include applying for a visa in person, getting an eVisa, securing an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), receiving a Visa on Arrival (VOA), or traveling without a visa.

Currently, Lebanese nationals are eligible to apply online for an eVisa or ETA to 64 countries. A VOA is available in 13 countries. For destinations requiring a traditional sticker or stamped visa, applicants must visit the relevant embassy or consulate. In some cases, it may be possible to schedule an appointment online before attending, depending on the country’s policy.

Regardless of visa type, Lebanese citizens must hold a valid passport with at least six (6) months of remaining validity from the date of entry.

With a passport ranked 89th globally, Lebanese travelers can enter 13 countries without a visa.

Since visa requirements differ by destination, it is always advisable to check the specific entry rules of the country before beginning the application process.

Countries Offering eVisa and ETA to Lebanese

The eVisa is a digital visa that is issued online. You can apply for the visa online without visiting the destination country’s embassy or consulate. It can be stored on your smartphone or printed on paper and presented at the airport.

ETA, or Electronic Travel Authorization, is a travel permit that allows you to travel to the destination country without applying for a visa prior to your visit. Upon arrival to the country, you can get your visa directly from the immigration authorities.

ETA can also be applied online, just like an eVisa. It will also be delivered to your email. While you can travel with your eVisa at any time during the validity period, an ETA has a specific timeframe. You must approach the destination country’s immigration within that time to secure your visa.

If the timeframe is exceeded, your ETA won’t be valid, and you will need to apply for a new one.
