Visa Requirements for Hungarian Citizens
Hungarian citizens can travel easily to many places because their passport is ranked 4th in the world. They can visit 114 countries without a visa.
Since Hungary is part of the European Union (EU), Hungarian citizens can also travel to all other EU countries visa-free.
For other destinations, the visa process depends on the country. Hungarians can apply for eVisa or ETA for 57 countries, and both of these can be done completely online. Around 10 countries also offer Visa on Arrival (VOA), where the visa is given after you arrive.
Some countries require a traditional sticker visa, which means you must visit the embassy or consulate in person. Many embassies allow online appointments before you visit.
Because every country has different rules, requirements, and documents, it is always a good idea to check the specific visa instructions of the place you want to visit before applying.

Countries Offering eVisa and ETA to Hungarians
An eVisa is a digital visa that you can apply online. You do not need to visit an embassy or consulate. Once approved, you can save the eVisa on your phone or print it and show it at the airport.
An ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is also applied online, but it works a little differently. An ETA lets you travel to the country first, and then you will receive your visa from immigration officers when you arrive.
Just like an eVisa, the ETA is sent to your email. However, an ETA is only valid for a specific time period. You must enter the country within that time. If you miss the deadline, the ETA becomes invalid, and you will need to apply again.
